Sister Khalilah is studying the Qur’anic Arabic with Imam Khalil Markham. There are several classes that are offered at the Muslim Center Mosque and Community Center.
Saturday Children’s Class is held from
11:00 am to 2:00 pm and Lunch is served.
Sunday Adult Islamic Class is held from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm and Coffee is served.
Thursday Adult Arabic Class is held from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Tuesday Hajj and Umrah Class is held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
The Qur’anic Arabic class focuses on the ability to read (Iqra’), the Holy Qur’an in Arabic, with particular attention to vocabulary, definitions, and basic grammar. Our Arabic, Hajj, and Umrah classes provide a comprehensive education through interactive activities, task-based learning, and lessons with our Imams as Instructors. We also supplement our lessons by immersing you in culture and history to make learning the Arabic language, culture and religion, more engaging and enjoyable.
And thus we have inspired toyou an Arabic Qur’an so
that you may warn the mother of towns and all around it” (Surah ash-Shura, 7)
“Indeed we have sent it down as an Arabic Qur’an, in order that you may understand” (Surah Yusuf, Aayah 2)
“And if you are in doubt about what we have sent down to our servant, then produce a chapter like it and call your witnesses besides Allah if you are truthful. But if you do not do it, and you can never do it, then fear the Fire whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the disbelievers”
(Surah Baqarah, aayaat 23-24)
“Indeed we have sent down the Reminder and surely we will preserve it.” (Surah Hijr, Aayah 9)
